In an new Prince of Persia, there also occur some new traps of course. The single traps are presented here, as well as some tips on how to avoid them successfully.

Rotating blade pillars
The rotating blade pillars are the first traps which you encounter during playing the game.
They move in a line in a constant way.
You just have to wait until the pillars move in a way that they are offering a gap, in which you want to go. To do this, run behind the pillars and rush through the trap.

Spike traps
The oldest trap in the Prince of Persia series. Even at the first part some adventurers has been spiked several times. This time they do not kill you immediately, but they are as dangerous as before.
Like in the Prince of Persia vom 1989 you can pass these traps without any harm, if you just walk slowly over these traps. If it has to be fast, you can start a wall-run. This triggers the trap, but the Prince is not hurt by them. The level design does not allow this strategy everytime.

Rotating blades
These baldes continue rotating every few seconds 90° to 180° and there are two different types of this trap: with one blade and with two blades, which are arranged adverse. In this moment where the blades start to rotate you have to perform a roll. If you have found the beat of a blade the problem should be solved.
In some cases you can also execute a quick wall-run in order to pass the blades without any harm.

Chain saw
The chain saw moves relatively quick on a wall in a line. If you got hit by the trap, this often means that the Prince dies, as the chain saw trap is often located directly over a pit.
You can pass them easily if you start running when they are directly in front of the Prince.

Spikes
The spikes are only located at the bottom of spikes (almost) and so they become a danger only if you drop down from the walls, where you can find chain saws. In most cases you are able to pass them with a simple jump.

Wood pincer
The wood pincer is triggered periodically and disspears for a short time in the wall. You can pass the trap exactly at this point. Sometimes you have to reach a beam that you can only reach if you run up the wall which is defended by the pincer and then the Prince has to jump on the beam.
In some cases you are also able to avoid the trap with a simple wall-run.

Swing bar
This trap is the rarest in the whole game, but it is also a very hard one. If you reach a certain point the trap is triggered and a bar starts to swing around. If you are hit by this trap you are thrown back (a few metres) and you health decreases. You can only pass this trap with the correct timing. You should wait till the bar has passed and then start to run, before the bar hits the Prince again.

Wall swords
These swords come out of a wall, go on a line and disappear for a short time. In this moment you cannot pass. It depends on how these blades are arranged. Either the blade comes alternately from the left side and then from the ride side or there is a double blade which blocks the whole aisle.
In the first case you have to run at one side, till the blade has passed on the other side and changes then to the other side.
In the second case you run through the aisle and start to roll under the blade when it reaches the Prince.
