UbiRazz, Community Developer and member of the PoP staff, wrote an apology to PC gamers. He and the dev team are as unhappy as the gamers.
In his short statement he also clarifies the business reasons:
It's better to make investments elsewhere than goodwill with such a small percentage of consumers
So the PC version of PoP just did not sell good enough and therefore the gamers who acutally bought the game for PC are punished with not getting the DLC. Now that sounds fair, does it not?

The DLC for Far Cry 2 was console exclusive for quite a long time. Now that Steam offers the possibility to release DLC, the Far Cry 2 DLC also made it to the PC version - provided one has bought the Steam version.

Will this also happen with Prince of Persia? According to an Ubisoft employee PC gamers should content themselves with the fact that they will never be able to play the DLC. This, however ist only a personal comment and no official press release.

A dim flicker of hope on the horizon:
Steam now does support a method which allows for publishers to relase additional content for their games without any problems.
Prince of Persia was already released on Steam. Maybe Ubisoft will have pity with the PC users and offer the DLC at least via Steam.

What Ubisoft tried to conceal previously is now perfectly certain. Every fan will have thought of that before but now reports of players confirm that the DLC continues at the exact point where in Prince of Persia the credits are shown.
Consequently, the DLC is not just a bonus as Ubisoft claimed but it continues the story right after the main game. |

The DLC for Prince of Persia is released today and Ubisoft did not make any announcements so far apart from the message that the DLC will not come for PC. For this reason we created the petition to demand from Ubisoft equal treatment of the PC in terms of support and additional content.
